God, I’m so tired of seeing tiny homes through a fish lens. Please just film it with a regular lens so we can get an accurate idea of size and livability.

I recognize the area, and wish that I could go back home there, and have land to do that, it is so beautiful there, and being able to live on your land is so cool!… What a great find, to discover an old farm, that had been abandoned, for over 30 years!
Clem Blackman says
That’s nice , your place is really quite nice and it was interesting to see and hear your view about the broken down homestead on your property It seems to me that you think deeply about people and how they once lived and do live. Peace and be good to yourself.

She is a very unique person and admirable but the land there looks too arid for me. Spiders freak me out and bottom line I do not like shipping containers. But like her very much.

Very interesting. Living off the grid is cool. I wonder how far she is from a town or city to get supplies?

The major stumbling block with trying to have a house like this are the various planning departments throughout our country that still use antiquated zoning laws and rules. When the average person go’s before the various city councils across our country to try and explain why it would be in the cities interest to adopt these new cheaper housing techniques they don’t even want to listen. Why? because they work for the Government and they know better than we do. They are the so called elitists who go to work each day with their heads stuck in a place where the sun don’t shine. They could care less about whether any of us have got a place to live. They’ve got theirs and that’s all that counts.

About the floor (in case somewhat doesn’t know this) – the floor boards in sea containers sometimes are fumigated with toxic chemicals against pests. Generally you should either seal them with a sealing epoxy coat or rip them out. But if you have spiders all should be well 🙂

I absolutely love everything about your life style. But especially how yo did your office/bedroom shipping container. The windows, painting, and the décor is makes a beautiful home. I could see having 2-3 of these containers and having a full house. I wanted to know keeping kool and warm is that pretty sufficient without installation. Thank you so much for the inspiration. And Kirsten thank you for a fabulous video, awesome job.

I love how she honors her father by giving him the main bedroom. a solar water heater could be run for the outdoor bathroom and solar canopies for power and shade. letting the chickens free range cuts down on feeding them manually too. great place!
