So many digital houses that don’t exist. Little bit of a let down. Would be good with a top 10 but more info on them, rather than fake brochure pictures.

Some interesting designs, but it should focus on one design at a time and not repeat the same pics 2 or 3 times.

I think these are great for areas of the world where building a home is nearly impossible. Parts of Mexico, Central America, Interior regions of South America. Locations where heat is not necessarily required, outdoor water closets or loos, and collection of water from the building into rain tubs for grey water to grow hydroponic gardens. There are many things we CAN DO if we put our collective energy into succeeding. For the American who wants the 3 bedroom, 2 car, pool, laundry room, family room and kitchen to feed 50 – no this is not the home. For the family with 6 people in one room 4 containers with a breezeway connecting them works miracles for families. Using 5 containers, the center and be two back to back; this center container can have solar panels for hot water and in this area is the kitchen along one wall, and running water. There may be a spring, there may not, in which case they will need a catch basin. Here a simple water heater will work with a generator. And, there is always the outdoor sun shower used on so many yachts in the Caribbean. This center pod, holds the family together much lick you see in SCH15 2 x 40ft. Containter Home with Breezeway. From here one side of the container can lift up and a pull across (found at home depot) screen will enclose the area from bugs. The container side is used as shade for a small porch. This porch is made of tile, that is found all over Mexico and quite beautiful. Gardens can be tomatoes, herbs, and other plants used for cooking and medicinal. When you leave the central area the other 3 pods become 2 bedrooms and one family/school room. Here is where the one computer if lucky enough to have is housed, used for tv and for homework and learning. The library is media, small compact and easy to copy and use. The building next to it is the first bedroom for 3 – 4 people, and in here is a vanity with water, and sleeping alcoves built in like a train with draw drapes for your own area. On the other side past the double container is the master bedroom, parents are in here and perhaps a small 1 – 3 year old. If possible another container would make them a grand estate. But from 6 people in one room to 5 container, wow, we are doing something really amazing.
Did you know FEMA has small trailers never used because they could not transport them fast enough for some of the worst disasters in America. It is so easy to look from the outside and wonder why we did not take care of this. But, think about it. Where would you store 1500 2 bedroom, and 1 bedroom trailers for quick transport to a disaster area? Alabama, Montana, New York, Seattle, Texas, no idea we really cannot predict what will get hit. We do know that yearly is that something will happen somewhere in the world that will take out breathe away, and people will die. Our goal is to get there fast, and with roads washed out, first responders priority, the best bet is the military. How would you transport trailers to a location that is flooded for days, weeks, and still in clean up with infection, bacteria, water infected and not able to be used even to wash in. Do you know what happens to rivers, ponds, aminals die in them, people die and you cannot drink or use this water. Facts are hard to mention or write about but it is true, so our best bet is to do what we can and build for those he need what we can give them. Easy to transport, ready to be built into a home, a structure easy to go up and I am tired of hearing design oriented. What they want is people oriented. Water, ice box or referigerator, generator, power, loos, bedrooms and peach.
Now I know everyone here is criticizing the “Small, Tiny Homes” because they want to purchase one. Hire a local architect and interior person in your area, they will most certainly be able to build you a small home for a low price to match what you want in your areas. You can use the plans here for concepts, but maybe not to purchase. There are places on line to purchase, just keep looking, and you will find they are all custom made to meet your requirements, so the trick is to find the persons concepts you like the best and build one.
I think they are great, but what works in Florida will not work in Rochester with 78 inches of snow on the roof? Weight of snow is X, and for Floriday, heat, humidity, mold, mildew, rain is y. Each must be built to the codes and specs in each area.
America is big, it is stunning in beauty from Mountains to Oceans to Rivers, Streams, Waterfalls, Farmland and more.
Just enjoy what we have and build what you want.
    Thank you

Home at 2.23 is NOT a shipping container home. It’s a Breeze house by Blu Homes. That and a bunch of others, plus digital renderings? Pfff.
