I wouldn’t buy it. I would build it.

Clothing cubby is very poor design. Have drawers or tilt out. Absolutely unrealistic design to pull it apart each time you reach for a shirt or sock.
Pocket door is very nice – functional, and artistic, truly good feature.
Nice build overall, but a bit like a man cave not home. No waste disposal was explained, or water, heating, and utilities discussed.

Am I mistaken or was there really no way to open the windows? Is that a cost saving feature? Otherwise very nice looking mini home, guys.

Interesting design. I wouldn’t want people coming over and using the bed as the place to sit (and fart), eat on, let alone have to convert it and put the sheets on every single night to go to sleep (and then remove every morning). Additionally, it seems like it would have serious humidity problems in the winter. That’s a problem that plagues most tiny houses… but even more so in a steel structure. That pallet board wall in the bathroom seems like the perfect breeding ground for mold. Sorry if this seems overly negative, I think it’s nice looking setup for maybe a weekend camp rental… but for something more long term maybe rethink the practical design a little more.

I really like that lay out.

$39K???? Expensive for a container home. I know my country is cheap, but $39K would get you a 2 storey, 2 bedroom unit, 40 to 50 sqm.

ANU START says
thats not that much for 39k, maybe if i was paying someone to do it for me, but like, raw materials? damn, better be tornado proof.
edit: I’m a broke teenager BTW, please ignore me; do you know of any cheaper shipping container homes I can make with about $2-4k?

But if you live in a trailer, you’re trash?

I don’t think the Boxcar Children could have imagined a better home!

I’d be worried about not getting enough heat into the bathroom and getting, damp/mould, is there an extract fan in the bathroom?
