Bad Grammar Tiny Homes Tours: The correct pronoun use is, “Phillip, thank you sir for putting Christian and ME (emphasis mine) in touch!” Do not say “Christian and I” if “Christian and I” are not the subject(s) doing the action of the verb (in this case “putting in touch) in the sentence. Philip is the subject because Phillip did the action (putting 2 people in touch with one another). A more simpler example may help everyone that gets this wrong. Say you are out with someone special and you are trying to make a good and generous impression by picking up the tab. Do you ask for the check by saying: “Give the check to I” or “Give the check to me.”? OBVIOUSLY it is the second sentence. You are telling the waiter (subject) to give (verb) the check to you ( the object of the action of giving the check). Thus, one would be correct to say, “Christian and I are going to the store.” In this example, Christian and I are the subjects doing the action (going to the store), but you would reflect ignorance if you said “Christian and me are gong to the store. For more help speaking intelligently see: http://www.learnersdictionary.com/qa/when-to-use-i-and-when-to-use-me. Perception is nine-tenths of the world.
