My hubby& I live w/ our 6 dogs in a 4 bedroom house. Our son moved away to college, & never moved back. We all sleep in one bedroom. 3 are unused at all times. We have an eat-in kitchen& a dining room. Its all just way too much! But the rent is so reasonable, 2 & 3 bedrooms in the area rent for as much as we pay for 4. Its a beautiful house, but such a waste of money& space, when we would be just as happy in a tiny home.
I have no place to put one of these things. And I need public transportation to boot. Quite frustrating.
With a small/tiny home I would have to do actual stairs not a ladder, just because long term comfort

beautiful tiny home and super beautiful sweet story , it was very touchy… its a blessing that her parents and family help to put all together with love and of course being Amish is a plus that will make that dream come true … a super blessing 🙂

The overall cost of a tiny house that is less than 25% of the size of an average apt or house is less. But they are more expensive to build per sf. This one cost approximately $130 per sf and there was another that cost more than $500 per sf. But at least they are affordable if the price is maintained at approximately 20-30 thousand. Besides, you’re not necessarily stuck with a 30 year mortgage.
