Great video! Getting more interested in yurts and it’s been very helpful to
see information from people living in yurts.

FYI: I called Big Duck Fabrics today and the salesman mentioned your video,
saying that it was “a great example of how to build a yurt,” and she sent
    me the link.

    Nice job!!!!

    🙂 Great job!
I’ve sewn several very large cotton canvas tents (16 foot diameter and up)
and did them all on my Singer Lightweight (similar to the featherweight). I
didn’t have any assistance pulling/pushing the fabric through the machine
other than 18 feet of table top, canted, to allow gravity to help move the
huge lengths through. The last seam on the round top is always the worst
😀 I also pre-matched and stapled the fabric together (canvas too tough
for pins) before stitching the first seam of the flat-fell. Staples come
    out easily with needle-nose pliers.
    Again, great job!

Thank you for this video. Very helpful. I am planning on building a yurt
over the course of this year. I’m a fiber lover so I plan on making (
felting) the insulation. I would love to connect with both of you if
possible. Would appreciate some advice, Cheers.

Awesome you two. It is nice to see something that was built from a real
perspective. Not these 30k dollar yurts running around. I don’t have 30k.
Thanks guys. Keep up the work. Rock and roll

Nice. What wood did you use for the walls and roof?
