Hey Crew good luck with the Yurt building..quite the adventure. We did a similar thing as to what you called “park hosting” as being caretakers for a flora and fauna sanctuary here in Australia. In exchange for a number of hours cleaning the buildings and security duties we had a nice little cottage that served us well for nearly 5 years. We had decided to buy the motorhome ( RV) and move onto different locations as relief caretakers. When it came down to the crunch we realized that our plans had changed and we wanted less transient and more contributory in a community sense.
Due to the nature of where we were in the sanctuary it was not possible to have a garden so we opted to find a rural town with cheap rent and that was still oporating with a sense of community. So here we are in Killarney SE Qld setting up a new chapter “outside the box” looking forward to the next 5 years and exploring all what the area has to offer and enjoying the community hopefully being able to contribute. Looking forward to follow your progress. Regards Russell and Sonya
