I remember running across a book in the library about 15 years ago called
“Tiny Houses”, and being homeless at the time, I thought it was a great
idea. Fast forward 15 years and now PBS is wetting themselves over this
brilliant new housing trend, where (according to this video) a person
spends 10,000 dollars for an 84 sq foot shed that runs on propane and has
no running water – and that she built herself?! Ooh. How edgy and
    un-materialistic. Such visionaries!

I will give this home a Third Place Award for Design and Off Grid; even if
it has unfinished shower room. It is simply spacious.

I am all for this type of living but do it on your own dime! I think its
not right to be living off someones elses sacrifices and BIG FOOT PRINT!
aka friends back yard? well isnt that nice..whats so small about your foot
step, nothing! sorry if your going to live small… do it onw your own
property not your parents or friends.

Will hopefully be starting the building process with my husband in the next
year or so, and I couldn’t be more excited. This kind of lifestyle is
absolutely not for everyone; and I’m kind of glad it’s not. If everyone
lived in tiny houses, they wouldn’t be as special as they are.

Great for singles all over the world or college students too. Looks cool
for younger people or even an elderly relative or even a guest house. I
    love this concept.

I was impressed until I saw the lack of shower. FAIL. Having to rely on
someone else to shower means you arent self sustainable.

where do you park one? you cant just put one anywhere. electicity has to be
hooed up, water has to be hooked up, local ordinaces wont allow houses like
this so youd haft to keep moving. living off others just finding a place to
park it. buying an airstream trailer would be a much better idea. who wants
to live in somebodies elses backyard with no water?

I want, nay , I NEED to build a tiny solar powered home on wheels. Two
requirements: I would like for the toilet to be as far away from the tiny
kitchen area as possible. I would also like for the loft bedroom to be
easily accessible using a fixed staircase.
I have really bad knees and they constantly ache. So, climbing up and down
    would be
a real problem for me. I am currently saving my pennies. Once, I have
enough $$$$$. I will buy a LOT of land in town. Next, I will start focusing
on building the house ON WHEELS…
