Cor ten is pronounced as two words (“core” and “ten”); not “corten.”
Why leave your long containers only one wide? Double them up and have the
full width of two containers. Take a look at Meka World’s site for some
design ideas.
I have been kicking around a container house idea for a while. I was
thinking of taking 4 containers and placing them in a box shape with a
courtyard in the middle for a garden. If I could afford a second floor that
would be nice but if not I’d build a deck with a wall on top either way to
use the roof as additional living space outdoors and more garden space. Why
a box shape? I was thinking we could lock up all the exterior windows in in
a defensive scenario. Think mini castle.

Theres a guy in berkeley california that has this exact thing. when the
gate is open and you can see in it looks kick ass…just like you said. a
mini fort. And Im an architect, I know this stuff.

into this for awhile now. I find it fascinating – I have seen some really
neat homes made from these things.
For my senior project I designed a shipping container home and had it 3d
printed. I one day plan to build my design in real life they’re a really
cool cheap concept that’s also green.

on google) without a doubt the no.1 course that I’ve heard of. Check out
