This is exactly what I would want in a small home.
Ummm…. Beautiful!! But was the outdoor shower on the wall entering the home? By the front door!? Facing the main house?! (The place they use to live with all the kids running around?) Where was the privacy? Why was it not on a back wall? It was next to the entrance like a porch light w/ no curtain. I’m all about outdoor showers, my dream is to have one, but that was disturbing… Or confusing… Or distracting… Or hard to imagine… Take your pick…Hoping I missed something and that sort of design/behavior is NOT the new ‘zen’!

Lol am I the only one concerned about the outdoor shower? They’re in the backyard of a house with kids in it and there’s no curtain or coverup by the shower.
I really appreciate the amount of thinking this couple put into their house. To me it feels like they really reflected on what they would need and like to live, rather than following a blue print of a practical tiny house. Beautiful!

Amazing friendship. The fact that they shared a living space with the family for several years is beautiful. Even more beautiful is the fact that they were given the space in the back yard to build their dream house. Love it.
Best tiny house ever! I love the Japanese style blended with Nordic. The tansu stairs are brilliant! The zen decor is wonderful.

Great space, but another Sleeping Loft? There’s no reason not to raise the bedroom ceiling 3-4 feet so you can stand up and actually have a usable space.

Beautiful mix of two cultures seen in the homes design. I wish the bedroom / loft was higher so you could actually stand up and sit on the bed. The cost to upgrade can’t be more than $5K or less. #niceidea
Beautiful. Both the house and the couple. Favourite thing has to be the LED light strip. I’m not a fan at all of over head lighting.
