This is lovely and fantastic! If you’re gonna have a tiny home, why not make it on a schoolbus so you can just hop in and drive off instead of messing with needing to own or rent a vehicle and trailer bed to hook it up to? Just makes sense. And this seems so much homier and cozier and less toxic of materials than an RV.

Only thing about tiny homes of course is the sad fact that some places have restrictive laws about parking them…but there are plenty of places that do allow them which could be an extra cost or if you’re lucky just a nice work-trade with plenty of pretty nature around for extra privacy and to hang out and grow food or whatnot.

Would like to hear about this family’s experience of finding where to park this, and also how long they’ve lived in it and if they still like it. 🙂

Your workmanship is excellent, you just sort of looked at the bus as a flatbed. Where did you live while you were in construction? I think a couple of “gas shocks” on the toy-box lids might be a fair safety measure.

Using a school bus frame as the skeleton of your house is a great idea! I love the curving top and the arched door for the bed platform transforms an ordinary space into a fairytale space! I also love the wooden plank ceiling that curves! Does the motor of the bus actually have enough power to pull the load? Splendid idea! I love your house! It is homey and enchanting!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that the wood shingles, window boxes, and round window on the outside and the fireplace area with the stove and ornate tin tiles also contribute to the wonderful ‘homey’ feel of the place! Splendid job!
